Prioritizing Self Care Success
The key to successful self care is self love. It has to come from a place of love. If you're stealing energy from anywhere else it becomes challenging. Self care and self love feed each other. Self care establishes your self worth and your self image. Self love is what reminds you that you're worth it and to celebrate yourself.
Having success in self care can be boring. I'm just wondering who decided that boring was a bad thing? I love feeling like I could depend on myself. I love feeling like I have something consistent to look forward to. I love stability. Because, from the safety net of the boring I always find the adventure.
How to Integrate Self Love Every Day
Be proud of yourself from the moment you wake up. Lean into your positive inner dialogue. You're the girl you spend the most time with. You have all you need to make it a positive experience. The world is an accommodating place when you approach from a fulfilled place. Do internal checks as to how a task makes you feel and praise yourself for showing up for yourself. You are the most important part of your success.
This is How You Change Your Relationship with Yourself
When you approach change from loving yourself. You give yourself more grace. Redirection is a chance to know something new about yourself. Overcoming is a feat of love, not necessarily of grit. Loving softer and more fully is a sure way to get moving in the direction you want to be going.
Why You Need to be Mindful of Routine
Every day, lean on your consistency. Build consistency through your daily routine. Your day consists of lots of autopilot. Life starts to work for you when the autopilot serves your current ideal. Your beauty routine being especially important considering the comfort it can bring through your day. You'll notice your routines more when you slow down. Slowing down you'll start to see the grooves. From there you'll be more open.
This is How You Follow Your Joy
With all the puzzle pieces in front of you. You can influence the outcome. Change the narrative by doing one thing different that feels good. Follow your good feelings, follow your joy. You should be doing things in a way that makes you feel good. In a way that serves your purpose. You should feel good at the end of a given routine. It should nurture you. Make you feel at peace with yourself.
Green flags for your routine:
endorphins - usually something about workouts and stretching!
getting really good ideas - why does this always happen in the shower?
feeling a rhythm to what you're doing - that aha moment when you wonder where the time went
humming - especially if you're not even sure what song it is
positive self affirmations unprompted - this is your brain's way of backing you up emotionally
I reassess routine based on my day to day. When I start to feel like I'm more in a funk than before, it's my intuition. Something is telling me for a change of pace. If not a change of pace, a change of perspective. We don't always get to do what we want when we want. I've found a lot of peace in delayed satisfaction. Almost to the point of feeling excited when I can't have what I want right away. Because I've realized that it's feels better when I give myself the space to process it.
Everything You've Been Missing is in Your Mundane Routines
The biggest misconception to self care is that it needs to be 0% or 100%. In actuality, you need to show up. Train your brain to value showing up over instant gratification. The way you start to shake the world is by what you do every day. We have 24 hours to keep the ball rolling. Compound interest rules that what you do, no matter how little adds up. What's the littlest tasks you could do? The mundane.
What to Do When You're Bored to Benefit Your Future
But here, in the lull, is the magic. It's the hot springs of your creativity. Most mundane tasks in the day, you do on autopilot. Make your daydream work for you! Daydreaming during repeated tasks is not a detriment. When you see your dream life coming true around you. You bring on more! It's okay to think about how great your life is going to be. Because your life is already great. You're already on the way to that.
The Benefits of Slowing Down Your Tasks Every Day
These tasks are usually a perfect time to slow down. Nurture your gratitude. Appreciate all you do for yourself. All you manage to do for other people. Reminisce. Continue to see the world through rose colored glasses because it is that fanciful. Through your feminine energy you'll find the joy in your coffee mug. It tastes delicious, and it's beautiful in its certainty. There isn't just one way to enjoy your daily tasks. It might be mundane but your life is happier with it.
How to Beat Your Need for Control
I've noticed, this is how I do it. This is how I nurse the need for control. My control is in the mundane. The everyday tasks that I'm responsible for. This is my control. How I feel about what I do every day. How I frame the challenges of taking the sameness and finding the fondness. The mundane is part of your inner and outer home. You can enjoy your mundane tasks when you appreciate them.
