Might as well, browse some skins on etsy to make your joy con controllers whatever colors fit the current aesthetic. 10/10 worth it. Insta stories worthy.

Dropping the Girly Gaming stigma

Women make up at least 50% of gamers. Yet, it's pushed all over the internet that true women gamers don't exist. Whatever that means. There isn't just Girl Gamer ™️.

It is a misconception that girl gamers are unicorns. We don't exist or we only play games to earn brownie points in someone else's roster. There's nothing wrong with playing games for yourself. No shame in starting a hobby to spend time with someone else. No gender owns gaming, although. We stay surrounded by the stigma that the gaming industry doesn't want us except for show.

Don't let the boys club tell you that girly gaming isn't real gaming. Play your animal crossing!! Play your point and clicks!! Who cares if it's pretty!!! Who cares if the characters are cute!!

The games you play are directly impacted by people you turn to. I promise, looking for games that suite you will lead you to something. Especially underrated special experiences you just can't recreate.

Here's what it means to be a gamer girl;

play games

enjoy looking into new games

having a favorite character

following games/series that you're interested in.

To simplify. Being a gamer girl is just being a girl that wants to play games in whatever way you see fit.

Gaming is one of those hobbies that could be instantly gratifying and a long process of discovery too. As a new gamer, of give or take a few years of actively pursuing gaming as a hobby.

I'm still discovering game genres and little game niches that I'm falling in love with! Finding similar people really is key and it is one of the hardest things to do as a woman. It's sad how much we've been corralled into the idea that woman's opinions on games are somehow second rate.

In reality, gaming is one of the most satisfying types of hobbies in sense of escapism that I've tried in my life.

I could say I was being dramatic but that would be lying.
