Community is Key:

Video games can be like any other hobby, there's communities for every type of gamer. This is a way to get into gaming! Unfortunately, gamers face more sexist situations to the point where it turns women away from wanting to engage in it all together. I'm here to tell you that don't let that deter you.

There is video games with inviting communities. Explore single player games! When in doubt single player games give you a way to enter the world of gaming without compromising a sense of community.

Get into gaming with your friends! Start it with a group if you can. There could be power in numbers!

Honorable mention? See if the game/genre of interest has a Discord!

Overcoming Decision Fatigue:

Video games have come to the point of suffering from success. There is so much variety to choose from. Genres aside, there's still sub genres! The best way to do it is to sample, my friends. Sample a genre that you feel sounds the most interesting.

Most people go with an RPG or FPS.

But maybe you want to go with a strategy type! Respect your own interests, they translate into a gaming genre most likely.

The SNES system is one of the systems I've been trying to get into! Especially considering my first system was the last generation! I love Nintendo so much honestly.
